How do i get my car hood up?

Hey i need help i bought a car a few months ago and now i have to change the battery it has been snowing and i think the hood is frozen bit it has been warm out lately and i tried to blow-dry it and pour hot water over it and it hasn't budged and when i go and pull the thing that you pull to get the hood open its tight can anyone help me please!!How do i get my car hood up?Driving your car around the block a few times should warm everything under your hood. Better than blow drying or pouring how water. If that doesn't work, then you need to get a mechanic to open you hood so you don't break anything.

it'll take two people, one to pull the handle, the other should push down on the centre of the hood(at the very front)once open, lube it with some wd-40How do i get my car hood up?This happens to me all the time. All you got to do hit the front top of the hood, and it should pop open.

If its tight try hitting the front of the hood again, then try pulling it.

It its seized, pull with all your strength. Just don't break the handle. How do i get my car hood up?Chances are the cable is stretched out and needs to be replaced.

Things to try.

1) Have someone push down hard on the hood where it latches while you pull the release lever. Try a vice grip on the lever to pull it a bit.

Try not to make it so tight it breaks the handle though.

2) Try accessing the hood latch from underneath by reaching up behind the bumper. Long arms and a big screwdriver (and a few cuss words) may help.

Weak hood hinges or worn gas assist lifts will cause a similar condition.

If this is the case, then have someone pull the lever while you pry the hood open with a screwdriver at the latch.
