Chevy citation (new battery)?

I have a decent condition chevy citation that hasnt run for around 8 years. It ran until the battery needed to get changed but i could never find the battery type of this car model? Anyone know a good car battery seach site. Also how hard would it be to start this car after 8 years of not running it (cost and repair)? Like i said 8 years it didnt run because the battery went dead?

ThanksChevy citation (new battery)?well you can get a battery for it at walmart or autozone or any auto parts store open any shop you can see open wil have a battery that wil lfit it i dont see any problems and any type name brand battery better stil dont see a problem a battery is a battery cheap ones cheap high hprice one last longer but finding a battery you could go anywhereChevy citation (new battery)? You are going to end up spending more than the car is worth to get it running properly and safely again. As another poster stated, all the rubber parts need replacing. The brake lines are probably rusted out, the engine should not be started until you change the oil. Trans fluid will need to be changed. Rear differentail fluid as well. All the engine, transmission, and power steering seals will most likely start leaking due to dry rot.Chevy citation (new battery)? You don't need the exact battery, just one that will fit. Take your old battery to a parts store and they can fix you up.

After 8 years sitting, you should pull out the spark plugs and turn the engine by hand before you try to start it. Expect to do a lot of the maintenance you would have done if you'd been driving the car for the last 8 years. Rubber parts like belts, hoses, spark plug wires, and windshield wipers go bad after time, not just miles. Also, gasoline turns to jelly after a few years, so check your fuel filter, drain your gas tank and rinse with newer gas. I would not try to start the car with 8-year-old gas. Change the fluids, be very sure the brakes aren't leaking before you get up to highway speed, and good luck!
