my husbands car remote stopped working, i guess it got wet or something. whenever we lock the car with the remote we can't open the car with the key because then the alarm will go off and the engine locks or something because the key won't turn so we can turn on the car. how can i deactivate the alarm and what will i need?

Remove the wires and reput them back and try and see if it functions. If not try turning on the ignition. When you put on the ignition. Press the button that deactivate the alarm.
